The Story Behind BYG.

Build Your Game first began in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where Josh was playing at the age of 19.

Through his experiences growing up in a small town in New Zealand and now playing around the world, Josh quickly learned how crucial mentorship and guidance from the right people, at the right time, can be. Yet he found there was nothing accessible for younger players who were just as passionate, motivated, and determined as he was.

This then sparked an idea that set Josh off on a mission to assist young athletes not only to improve their overall skill set, but to learn valuable tools and systems along the way that will help shape their future. After almost a year of testing, trialing, and gathering as much information as humanly possible, we came up with a tool that is accessible to any young player and their family with a focus on teaching the importance of a holistic approach, not just to basketball, but to life.

This led to the birth of a brand that transcends the true value of mentorship and goes beyond the game - that's BYG.
